Across the U.S., Native CDFIs help tribal communities overcome barriers to economic development opportunities and capital access. Led and run by tribal members, the roughly 70 Native CDFIs nationwide provide a broad range of financial services and products that build individual assets and community wealth in Indian Country.
In 2022, Oweesta, Wells Fargo, and Opportunity Finance Network, will offer three awards:
Two Native CDFI Catalyst Awards and one Native CDFI Seed Capital Award.
Applications are due by 11:59 pm ET on July 15, 2022.
Northwest Native Development Fund received the 2021 Native CDFI Catalyst Award for its strategy to address a severe lack of housing stock on and around the Colville reservation in Washington.
Spruce Root received the 2021 Native Seed Capital award to help start-up businesses and entrepreneurs prepare for applying for the CDFI’s microloan program.
